NARRATIVE OF KURZEME IN MODERN CHILDREN’S NON-FICTION BOOKS BY LATVIAN AUTHORS

The aim of the article is to characterize peculiarities regional literature in a specific type children’s – non-fiction books. research focuses on analysis narrative Kurzeme, cultural and historical region Latvia, books for children by four contemporary Latvian authors Gundega Sēja, Vitauts Ļūdēns, Valdis Klišāns Pēteris Blūms. Using methodology semiotic analysis, has identified main trends representation Kurzeme creation content story. In books, writers have included information about geography, most important natural cultural-historical objects, persons events, peculiarity language, as well certain traditions. formation dominated dialogue between child an adult, with adult playing role wise companion, technique popular travel "story within story". study shows need continue academic discussions identifying appropriate term allows conclude that Latvia written can be considered revealers color.
